ABOUT US
The School offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Drama, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Acro Tec, a form of gymnastic dance movement.
All Classes are held at the Queensbury Methodist Church Hall, Beverley Drive, Edgware, Middlesex, HA8 5ND
Currently, the syllabi of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) are studied in Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre and Jazz. Students are coached for examinations from Pre-primary to Advanced level and are also given the opportunity for free expression and improvisation.
The LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) syllabus is followed in the drama section.
During their time at the school, Students are given the opportunity to take part in School Shows, Boot Camps, Summer Schools, Theatre trips and events such as the London New Year’s Day Parade.
The Beverley School of Dancing was founded in January 1961, offering classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Ballroom, to boys and girls from 3 years upwards.
In 1999, the school changed its name to the Beverley School of Performing Arts, with Drama and Jazz classes being added to the curriculum.
In 2009, due to popular demand, singing and street dance were added to compliment the full range of performing arts.
